Im looking at getting a new atv Right now i have a 2005 predator 500. with high compression piston and hotcams Its a nice bike but just to heavy.. I was wondering how good the 09-10 outlaw 450mxr is? any known problems? how do they compare to the other 450's?

lighter and faster will need new tries for trail usage air box on the small size but works. Baldwin oil cooler helps on keeping the engine run better. even with all stock setup re-jet the carb.

I have an '09 450MXR; I recently moved to it from a Raptor 700 and will never go back to a heavy sport quad again. The MXR feels so light and manueverable. The power is very good in stock form and the shocks on the MXR are nice. I put 21" fronts and 20" rears on almost immediately and dropped a tooth on the front sprocket. This setup works very well for me in my local XC series.

hah! i too just came from a raptor 660 to a 2010 450 mxr and will never ride anything that heavy again, i am a 125 5'5 guy and flipped my raptor 3 times because i couldnt weigh it down enough while drifting to keep up with other guys.i just would get too much grip, slow down to much then flip. it sucked. i love my 450.

It also seems like it is a way faster quad overall.
