View Full Version : attatching the FST oil cooler

What is the best way to attach the cooler. I'm going to zip-tie the screen to the frame, but I'm not sure what to do with the cooler. Thanks for the input.

Just use zip ties to attach the cooler to the screen..........

WARNING!!! be carefull when drilling hole in clutch cover, its very easy to miss and put a hole into case

Does the cooler get hot enough to melt the zip ties? Thanks for the warning PHIL.

Many auto parts stores carry Hayden Tranny coolers. Hayden makes these little zip tie things with a 1" plastic disc on the back side that you pull through the fins and slide another disc on the tie from the front 'til it's tight and then cut off the excess. Cost you about four bones. BTW - No the cooler can't get hot enough to melt zip ties, but if it did... the zip ties would be the least of your worries :)
