For awhile now I figured it was busted, took it off and bingo its totally shot. The screw and springy shaft thing came off and left the rest of the end in the carb.

So I ordered a new one, I figure I gotta take apart the bottom of the carb to replace it totally? The little spring and part of the idle set screw end is still on there.

No one knows how it connects to the carb?

maybe just a nut that is in there. Did you take the side cover off of it to look at it yet? It looks like there is a nut from the schematic. steve

Im taking it apart after I get the new screw. Rather not have it apart if I go riding again, it still idles but Im using the throttle to do so.

funny steve lol.

I need new front tires, then i might actually have some grip and be able to steer better. Course the bent steering stem isnt helping now is it.

neither are good combo, im in the same boat with the tires getting bald. mine are getting quite worn down on the 400. it sucks when you have to let off the gas when you want to turn lol. steve
