Need some help picking out a new quad

im looking at getting a new Quad and i can't Decide what to get im a Yamaha Fan!. right now i got a 06 blaster and im looking for a Second bike .im looking at

Yamaha Banshee
Yamaha Raptor 700
Yamaha YFZ 450


Give me some help!

It really depends what u want to do with if u ride trails I would go with the 450 but I love me a Honda so the only yamaha I would get would be a banshee

mx riding or possible xc racing - yfz

dunes, drags, fields, 2 stroke fan- banshee

i just want something badass. i got 107 Acres to ride on it's mostly woods with hills and some flat land. theres really no Dunes around here in north carolina :( . i got a blaster right now that im gonna still keep but i might get into MX and Racing

one thing about the shee it's hard to find one that hasn't Been beat for around 3,000

get ya a yfz if you have any interest in racing. and i know what kind of terrain your talkin about i live 2 hours from you. you will love how a yfz handles. and a rappy is too heavy and handles like a boat for the tight trails around here.

Gotcha one thing i like about the Raptor is the Reverse comes in handy some times . where u live? and where do u ride im looking to meet some people to ride with sucks Riding by ur self u know lol

You said you like the reverse of the raptor well the kfx 450 is a very track friendly quad and it has reverse.

i took a look at it. it's a good looking bike i emailed some guys that have them for sale around here .i wanna get a good deal. i am a yamaha fan but i always end up getting a kawasaki. im looking to spend around 3k on a used bike. i went to look at a 06 shee the other day for 3,000 guy said it was in "Show Condition" thing was beat!. i might go look at a 2008 700 raptor tomorrow guys asking 2,900 for it. and it's hard to find a nice yfz 450 around here not to many people are selling them. so this is gonna be one hell of a hunt

if i had to have a yamaha it would be either a BUILT banshee

But im die hard honda fan so im saying 450r or 400ex

out of that bunch yfz, personally i like hondas since theya re generally reliable and the 400ex and 450r handle quite well in stock form.

yea im thinking the yfz 450 im going to look at a 04 Tomorrow it's got alot of goddies guy said 3k it's mine so im gonna check it out

i live in morganton and ill have my own private mx track by next summer. and i hear ya with reverse but a 450 is so light if you cant just whip it around you can push it very easy. and if you look on craigslist theres a bunch of decent yfzs and some are modded for very good prices i got my for 3500 with custom axis lts, lonestar swinger lonestar a arms and jd performance 6 point subframe etc so there are greal deals you just have to neep your eyes peeled

oh yeah and its an 06 btw so if that 04 is a lil beat i would look for a newer one.

Suzuki 450/Z400 two best quads you can get period ! Blaster was my first quad then 400ex then Z400 now I wont a suzuki 450 would consider suzuki instead of yami/honda IMO. Trails =Z400/Raptor best choice ,MX Suzuki 450 has won the past three yrs in mx and two yrs gnnc proved to be the quad to get IMO.

thats sick i wanna do a MX track but we should ride some time im like 2 hours from u. u got a nice quad! the quad im looking at is a good deal but i heard i the 04's have problems and that i should get a 06. lol i don't need problems in my life lmao

i got the perfect bike for you if you didnt care to make the drive to kentucky. 07 yfz with woods tires,rear hiper beadlocks,ballance carbon fiber exhaust,nerfs,bumper,grab bar,uni filter im asking 3,000. its the 07 special edition grey with red frame. also have white plastic included.

Im Am so Happy right now i just bought a 2008 YFZ GYTR 450 SE Bike is like mint picked her up for $3,050 on Ebay. Thank you all for the help im so glad i waited for the right bike!:D

i agree Yamaha did a Good job on this bike this is my Favorite Color they came out in this bike. i was getting impatient and im glad i waited for the right bike . i was looking for a new bike for a month now and i wanted to stay away from the yamaha Blue. just looks to plain and besides my 06 blaster is blue.

Wow, that's cheap. I shipped a quad through freightline once (Fedex I believe), and it was over $400.

yea i know i prob would have not bought it if it was not that cheap. i gotta call the guy tomorrow to pay for it i got a little wrapped up the wait is gonna suck tho :(. i wonder how long it will take to get it from ohio to north carolina i hope like 2 days
