Case leaking...things to do while its apart?

After some searching, it seems the leaking case by the starter is common. Mine is now leaking.

So....it looks like I get to yank the motor and replace the gasket. While I have this ******* apart, what are some things I can do to make this thing last a few months longer?

I have read about the oil squirter....what else?

How many hours are on it? If its up there maybe some crank bearings.
