blacked out 400ex headlight

does anyone know if these are made? im talking like the ones you see on cars, i think theyd look sick!!

I know they have a headlight tint.. My brother put it on his back taillights it looks okay shows the light but is dull black... I want to buy a spare headlight and just try it but I think you would have to have a HID light convertor to have a strong light through it.. I'm just guessing or you might not. If I ever do it I'll get back to you on it

i was thinking maybe get a window tint for a car from walmart, and then getting some of those really bright bulbs, idk if theyre LED's or just white lights, but then pop the lense of the light off and put it in there...how do you think this would look?

Well if you where going to put window tint on the headlight I would for sure put the tint inside the headlight and make sure to seal it up TIGHT!! But I wouldn't get that get that dark of a tint and those aftermarket headlights will help out alot... Hey if you do it, it will be the only 400ex I know that has a tinted headlight... If you do it post some pictures on how it looks!!

yeah...it does need to be tight, i know that theres moisture that gets in there. i think it would look cool, but i dont ride much at night anyways, and if i got halogens and put in there, it would probably make up for the lost brightness.

I used electrical tape on my 450r light one time. You couldn't tell it was tape until you got right up on it.

Do not put tint on the inside of youre light! Light bulbs get hot and the tint will look like shiz. Just tape it off and paint it the right way.

I don't have any pics. That was back in 04 when the 450r first came out.:p It's pretty easy to do though.

Buy the spray tint from wal-mart... tape it off and spray. Its that simple.

sounds sick i wanna put Xenon lights on my YFZ 450. i found a Company that makes a Converter for it. but if any one got any pics of Tinted out lights post some pics

U can tint them yourself by painting them. That is how its done by body shops. Scuff your headlight up with a scotchbrite red pad. Then drip some black paint in to your clearcoat and keep adding coats until its as dark as u want.
