New to forum and the 400ex. I just picked up a '04 with a bent steering stem and a set of death trap handlebars with a crazy billet tribal piece of a cross bar.

Anyways i found a site where a guy suggested filling the handlebars with expanding foam insulation to reduce the vibrations. Anybody ever do this?

Never heard of that at all. It may or may not work.

I would get a new steering stem and some good handlebars and start over-vibrations should lessen alot.

yeah i got a new stem and am picking up a new set of bars this week. I don't know if my quad has a bad vibration or not, i just saw this suggestion and wanted more info. Guess there is only one way to find out.... if i try this i will let everyone know.

I domt think it will help with vibration. I filled my bars on the sled to help keep the heat from the heated grips. It did help there
