they did NOT make aluminum frames. LRD and someone else did though....

the one we have is alum. and has there name stamped into the frame....

i can remember seeing an aluminum 400ex on their site back in the day, like a sample bike showing all their products on it, it was not an lrd/laeger, it was something custom, but i dont recall there being any details about it, and i dont think they "produced" any to be sold to the public, but is very possible he picked up this custom one of a kind frame, post pics
