Prayers for Admin (Harlen)

Harlen got violently ill on his flight to Cali yeasterday and when he landed was rushed to the hospital and is not doing well. I would give you more details but there are none, other then he is under going a myriad of tests as they try and find out what is wrong with him. He is a strong person and in good health so this comes as a total surprise. I will keep the thread updated and hopefully we can learn today what caused him to go down.

Please join me in saying a prayer for him as he is all alone and has to face this issue by himself until they can get some family members out there.

I just talked to Harlen and he is feeling much better and is hoping to be released from the hospital later today. :)

At this point they think it was either a nasty stomach bug or possibly food poisoning. He should have his test results later today.

I havent talked with him for a few hours, but it may be that they have to keep him another day or two. Harlen is a pretty strong guy and for him to hit the ground says volumes to me.

He was trying to get released and someone out there was willing to fly him somewhere to shoot Josh Fredicks racing in AZ, then back so he could make the Quadcross.....but the docs will not release him and IMO that says alot as well.

Just an update...I talked to Harlen this morning and he is feeling better and it looks like he may be getting released from the hospital sometime today.

Glad to know he's back on his feet. Illnesses that leave quickly rarely ever leave serious lasting effects.

They said he had a very severe intestinal infection...which we figure came about from bad food. He said he was feeling rgreat friday morning, ate breakfest at the airport and within 45 minutes felt like he was going to die. I had something similiar happen and it was identical and was deemed food poisoning.

He said he feels weak, tired and general like crap but glad he is out of the hospital and looking to get the weekend over with and back home for a few days rest.

Everything else test wise came back good, and they ran him through EVERYTHING poor guy:p Im glad he is ok...if he checks out of this world it will be with my boot in his *** or my hands around his neck, not by some natural cause LMAO!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and prayers because for over 24 Hours I was in some serious pain and discomfort, and it was made worse being nearly 3,000 miles away from my home and family.

Luckily for me, I have a HUGE extended family in the ATV industry, and I was overwhelmed by all the support that I received from around the World in such a short amount of time being admitted to the hospital. Within hours, my phone and email was being lit up, which really helped to keep my spirits up at the hospital.

Thanks for all those that attempted to contact me, and special thanks goes out to FASST CO, Yamaha, Motoworks & DWT for all there help during my hospital stay.

After some begging and pleading to get out on Saturday afternoon, I was finally released with a bunch of pills that I need to take daily, so thank god for phones with alarm clocks because I am not one to remember to take medicine since I barely have ever taken any pills.

They still don't know what exactly made me so ill, but I hope to find out this week.

Thankfully, I was able to attend the Yamaha / ITP Quadcross season finale, but I still wasn't 100%, but good enough to get the job done.

I am now finally flying back home to Maryland, and in just 4 days I am headed back out to Las Vegas for my final trip of the year, and I will be joined by my wife, Tina, which is a rare occasion for her to travel, so I am excited to have her along on the trip.

Again, thanks for all your well wishes, and I glad to be back on my feet.

Suck it up Nancy... Just because you tried to go on some fancy diet to look good in a swimsuit for your try-outs on Americas Next Top Model in Vegas...Eat a saltine, vomit, repeat... Go back to Dr Pepper and gas station corndogs ,it seems to treat your digestive system better.
