JVC Big Screen Problem

I don't know where to begin since I just got it basically free from a buddy. It's a JVC AV-48WP74 48 inch 1080i. The screen shows but it doesn't show blue coloring. Anyone know whats up?

sounds like you lost one of your colors. I am assuming its a few years old if not more. Most tvs use three colors to make all of the colors you have. You saying you are missing blue means that the specific bulb may have blown out. Best bet would be to stop by a tv repair shop and ask what they think

The blue buld is lit. There's a blue streak that runs through the center of the screen.

i bought a jvc 52 inch rear projection 5 years ago for 2500.00 and it broke in the first 30 days half way through the national championship game. it took them like 4 months fix because they said it was on back order it worked for a year or so and then the same part broke again paid 350.00 to be fixed again now the sound wont work ive got a 3000.00 paperweight growing up i always bought jvc stuff i wont ever again

I talked to a few people. It's a IC for the convergence that went out. $16 bucks and its fixed. Hopefully it lasts.
