all show trucks!?
Most lowered trucks will smoke any lifted truck in a drag.

i like both but i would rather own a lowered truck. I dont feel like having to climb a damn ladder just to get in to my truck, and if i did had a lifted truck, it would be for offroad only cuz its pointless to lift a truck just to drive it on the streets the whole time.

i also dont like the kind that scrapes the grown when moving, i like the "decent" looking ones

lift it or it looks gay! we got a old 82 ford ranger with a 2.9, 5 speed, 3 inch body lift, 33in thornbirds, nice offroad lights mounted on the roof, and some big ***** bumpers welded straight to the frame that took 3 guys to hold up while we where weldin em on, we take that thing trough anything we`ve had it burried in mud and sand way past the axles and had the thing completely off the ground in the sandpit

lift it and love it

I like both. My dad has a tricked out GMC Sierra with a 6'' lift, thats fun for towing things and cranking around the campsite. But I like my S10 more. only because I cant really aford to spend that much on gas or insurance, which it is good on. I have a 3/5 drop on it, right now it has no paint besides primer, in like a week I am putting it in to do some motorwork, and while I am doing that I am going to be taking the hood and doors, and the tailgate off and going to repaint it all, a neon green. When the spring comes around I put my 17" Axis wheels on it. It should look good, green white and black ( the windows are tinted pretty dark )

I plan on doing a valve and cam job to the motor, its a 4.3L V6 so It will have some pep.

When I have enough money I am going to get a truck just like my dad's a lift it as high as it will go haha.

When people shut the He!! up about how they think lifted trucks are "sooo much better" In a thread that specifically says "Like slammed sweet trucks?"

Im not a whining kinda person, but good lord people! It happens EVERYTIME someone makes a dropped truck thread, 183274387300 people have to reply saying how they dont like this, and they like that, ect

Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one! And they ALL stink!

"lowriders are for boys who can't get it UP"???

Bring me ur g/f and i'll show her where i'll get "it" up!

I have always been a firm believer of these two sayings:
" If you can see over your truck, it ain't high enough"
and " If you don't need ramps or a loading dock to put it in back, you don't have enough lift."

:D

I think Nausty said it best though.

Jay, how hard was it to get a 350 in there? i was thinking of doing it to my 1986 s-10. Did you get a motor kit or something and where did you get all your parts from. how long did it take to do the swap? you did a NICE job

Jay300ex
02-11-2003, 08:28 PM
That truck aint mine, mine is going to be neon green =). Thats a friend of my dad's who did that swap, he lives down south so I dont know how long it took him to do it, but as you can see the powerplant is all edelbrock. i am prettyt sure he had wheelmax.com sell him those 22'' rims but i was more stoked to why he put all that into it for it just to be white!! you know its going to get dirty hehe, i will try and find out more details about it though

Ive been looking at the 98 and up, i can afford them but it will leave me with little spendning money so im going to go with the 94-97 model, i just got to find a nice one w/out alot of miles and lower than 6 Grand.

Also, do you know if the 94-97's have a 4.3L Vortec V6 engine?

Thanks dude, It's a '96 and the color is lime green, obviously... I don't remember the colour code but I can find out if you really want to know?!

The 4.3 Vortecs were introduced in the '94 line of pickups. They were available in the Blazers since 1992.

I really recommend these trucks if you're looking for something that size. They are very reliable and there are tons of after market parts for 'em.

I don't see the point in feuding over if YOU like low or YOU like lifted. It's a preference, customization. It is extremely fun to CUSTOMIZE and LIFT a truck, as well as it is fun to CUSTOMIZE and LOWER a truck.

It's fun to ride a Honda. It can be just as much fun to ride a Yamaha.

No hard feelings right.

my borther had a reg cab s10 that he slammed, 1 of the guys on monster garage( 1 of the guys on the golf mustang 1 his name is like enricho or eric or something like that) he helped my brother do it, i remember he had a shell on it and i use to ride in the bed and i remember itching because of the fiber glass shell and his rear bumper scrapping off the dot bots in the rode when he changed lanes :)

i like em both we have a older f150 with the newer f250 style front end on it lifted on 44 super swamper with a 900hp crate motor. but i like lowered trucks better i would just lower it the only way i would is if i put airbags on it so i could raise it up going down the road

damn there is some hate for lowered trucks, and it seems like the people talking crap are clueless about them  . ive got a bagged, body dropped nissan. i can tow a quad with it, i can go into most dirt pits. i can support over 5,000 lbs just on my rear suspension. i guess everone that says that they dont like the "scraping" has never been on a good drag session. my full size will be lifted a few inches from stock, but i will always have something lowered. theres nothing like going out late at night and finding a smooth patch of ashpault and dropping the pressure and dragging frame at 60-70 mph, and ripping up road reflectors on side roads. a real minitrucker dosent have a ground effects kit, they rip off body parts, like a roll pan and usually dont care because they were about to change it. one of the best things about being bagged, some *** hole riding your ***? drop the rear and spray them.

yep. just gotta make sure u have a bar welded on the underside like titanium or with a carbide strip or something so u dont do serious damage to the undercarriage....but yea personally i like the minitrucks best. full size trucks just arent very fun unless ur goin offroad.

stocktires, the f150s are NICE. i like full size 2wd trucks dropped a little 2-3" like a lightning or harley-davidson f150. im not much on any truck unless it has a V8---thats all that matters:devil:

no doubt!
I and a couple friends just dropped a Harley Davidson 2/3 a few weekends ago.
My bro just bought a new f-150 and It kills me because he's not the custom truck kind of guy.

ReconRider, I have a pic of that exact same truck.....bagged on z71 wheels. If ya wana see it I'll e-mail it to you. lmk I dunno how to post

My truck is primered up and about to be completely shaved (except for tails and 3rd brake light). Then I get to play with power tools and air suspension
Then I'll put my wheels back on it and roll back up to Showfest!

Our Nissan is a bit of a terd too...the dime is getting torn down again summer of 2005. 3-4" bd, cab slideback, jasons 4link (if i dont get ekstensive metal's kit), redo ALL the body work, shave tails, mold stuff together, repaint, and all kinds of stuff. The interior will be done this winter some time. Gotta get yo money.
