ok well ive decided to dump even more into the ex which i need new tires and i was gonna get razrs but i really like the lightness of the razr mx and the price tag so i was thinking of getting douglas wheels with four razrs of course backs being 18s and front being 20 and im wondering if running smaller tires will make it run not as well or if ill have to adjust timing or jet it?

Will feel a bit more powerful as your going down a tire size.

Unless you race MX I see no reason to ever run 18's as they are to small for all around riding imho.

the bike will mechanically run the same
no jetting or timing adjustments

as cjm said it will accelerate faster, however you will lose top speed

and also as cjm stated, unless you are riding the track all the time do not get 18".....get you a good set of 20" 4 plys and 21" fronts....that in my opinion is the best all around setup

i have ran 18s in the woods and it SUCKS!

and i have ran 20s on the track and you can still do ok.... and i would much rather have 20s on all the time if i were only allowed to have one tire size for all riding styles

however if you have money overflowing out of your pockets go ahead and buy 2 sets haha

if you have to run 18's and have to have the same top speed you need to adjust your gearing... i have 18in razers, for the mx track i go to on occasion and i have found the speed difference to be very small
