Fourwerx Carbon hood!

I just got my new FW carbon hood in yesterday. And it doesnt fit right. When its all pushed down up by the handlebars the nose of my plastics stick out, am i supposed to shave this off?

I have fullbore plastics and I ordered the fullbore version of this hood, thanks!

I had the same issue. I ended up getting it to work by buying bolts and rubber spacers to tighten it down and pull the fullbore plastic up into the fiberglass hood as best i could without braking the fiberglass, if you try this be very careful. Otherwise i think you basically have to shave it down or try hitting it with a permanent marker and see if it looks ok. I think Jay at Fourwerx should refit these and try to make them just a touch larger for future sales. Good Luck. Once you get it on though they do look incredible.

Show me what you're talking about. I've had 3 FW hoods and all fit perfectly. Are you running an IMS tank? The hoods need to be trimmed to fit around an IMS 3.6 or 4.0 gallon tank... The Clarkes, fit OK.

yeah that is EXACTLY the same issue I had.

These hoods are designed to mount to fullbore plastics, as a cover. We designed them to come to the front of the plastics, but not overlap the plastics to the front of the quad.

You have to remember that you are dealing with aftermarket plastics too, so the issue might not be the hood at all. All of our hoods are checked in the molds after being finished.

I'm thinking maybe the fullbore is a little to long out front? Who knows.

I'm just going to trim away a little bit.
