chassis changes ?

Im going to start building a 450 from the frame up. I have located a 08 trx450 electric start, the frame, plastics, tank and seat are missing.

Does anyone know if I can use any year of trx450 frame for this build ?

the frames are different. Not enough to put a build to a hault but they are different. I put an 07 motor in an 05 frame and had to machine my own motor mount spacers. Some of the front fender mounts and electrical holders are different but nothing a drill and grinder cant take care of

i remember seeing on here that both motors fit in both frames but u must use engine mounts that are the same year as the motor

also the 04/05 motors have an oil cooler that you would have to find a place to mount on a 06+ frame

I should have worded it better... I have everything for the quad but a frame, plastics, seat, rear wheels, steering stem and one a-arm is tweeked.

if u need stock a arms i have some extra's for 06+

Thanks but Im going to find a set of long travel a-arms. I hate stock suspension, it don't matter what machine I will always go aftermarket.
