Ok guys I have a 2001 400ex it has a manual lever clutch ! DID or does HONDA ever make a 400ex with a HYDROLIC CLUTCH ??? I bought a used set of handguards the guy said they came off his 2002 400ex but the cluch side is way off as far as it is like 4in. wide at the bolt area at the lever, ??? IDK ! I got the brake side to fit somwhat ok doesn't seem to fit around the front of the master cyl. verry well tho, he sent me bolts spacers and pics of them on A ATV but from the pics you can not tell anything !! any ideas ?? thefuzz65@yahoo.com

magura makes a Hydraulic clutch lever for the 400 that is the same as the one. lets see some pics of the guards you are trying to use and how you have them mounted. most of the time guards use mounts to get them out and over far enough but since you did not say what brand they are, i cant help much there. steve

I'm not sure of the brand I see no name on them I will try to get pics .. i was just wondering if they were for a 400ex with a hydrolic cluch ?? caus the side for the clutch is about 4 in wide or so at the bolt holes

They make different handguards to fit dirtbike bars and atv bars in some cases!Take pics and post them and these guys can probably tell you what you have sometimes you have to cut the ends off your levers!Or your bars might have been cut off, common on dirtbikes!
