DOA ignition help please

So the kid is out back tearing it up 30-45 minutes comes back to the garage and we dink around for a bit and when i went to start it NO FIRE
its not grounding out that was my first check (tether+ ground lead to the cdi)
anyone know how to check the stock stator? anyhelp would be appreciated

What kind of kill switch?

well considering i checked that the ignitionis not being grounded out that pretty much narrows it down to the cdi ,coil or stator
mine still had the stock harness i just finished cutting it down soldered all the open connections and sealed it up
in the morning im gonna reconnect it with the stock coil and cdi if nothing i will order something probly a new pvl:D

pvl is the smart way to go but the less expensive way would be one of my used stators if thats the problem.
