What is the differenc between a Hot Cams stage 1 and 2? (I know what the lift and duration specs are) Is one for low end and one for high end? If so which is which. You can look at my sig for my current mods.

The Stage 2 is a more radical cam and You will see more hp outta it.

Go with the Stage 2. You might as well do it right the first time.

Thanks for the input. How will the stage two affect low end torque?

a friend of mine rode one the was a 406 with a stage 1 and he couldnt tell that big of a differance than his.And he is just jetted with a W/B e series. Did you notice any gains with your piston alone?

Stage 1 is for bottom to mid and stage 2 is for mid to top. It depend on how you like to ride. I would go with the stage 2 though because you dont lose any bottom end with it and most of the time you are running mid to top through trails because you do so much shifting.

Good luck with it.

Why dont you try a search, this has only been posted like 100 times. The answer is still the same as it was the last time this question was posted

i lost no bottom with my setup and i ride trails everday, the 2 just has more a of a mid range hit, it is more noticable than my buds 11:1 wb all around cam. which seems to pull just as long but more even. i like mine better for my riding style.

I should have stated stock motor and when you add a high compression piston you get some of it back. If you look at the specs sheet on the cam make up the Hot cam stage 1 has a higher lift then the first 2 or 3 web cams.. Web makes W/B cams
