06 TRX ER what to do ?

Have an 06 trx er want to tone it down for the kid have a 13 to 1 comp piston ported head and a Web cam . Can we put the stock cam back in and a stock piston and re-jet and go ? suggestions ?

put an 04-05 carb on it. that would help

The 06 stock piston is 12:1 so I wouldn't waste the money or time swapping that out unless you need to anyhow for maintenance reasons. You could drop the stock cam back in, put the air box lid and stock exhaust back on and rejet... That should tune it down some.

why not just tell your kid to take it easy?? maybe if he knows that its fast he may respect it more... just a suggestion
