Ideas for hybrid 125 2t?

Hey guys,

I found a '96 CR125 motor for sale near me, the guy is asking $600, but wants it gone ASAP (and has had it for sale for at least a week now). Includes the carb, but nothing else (no airbox, rads, pipe, etc). It has been recently rebuilt (top and bottom), with receipts to prove, I was thinking of offering $400.

I don't really have any use for it though.... but I was thinking about maybe doing a hybrid quad. Something CHEAP! So I was going to ask for some ideas of what I could swap it into.

I found a Honda TR200 Fat Cat for sale locally as well, but the guy wants too much money, and I think that routing the exhaust and mounting the rads would be too difficult.

Any other ideas? I'd ideally like to keep i in a Honda... but it doesn't really matter that much. I'd want to stay away from 450s, too expensive.

Something from the 90's would probably be best. 400ex, or 250ex were my first ideas. I was thinking about a Blaster, but it would be too small I think.

i'd put the motor in something small and light like a blaster or 300ex..

Yeah I was thinking about a blaster. Found a frame for sale locally for $100, was going to offer $60.

Blasters are junk. I'd rather have a dog powerplant on a good handling quad any day of the week. try a 400 ex. when you get some more money you can set it up to handle even better

400 frames are a little big for a 125 IMO. Personally I would love to have it in something little and fun, like a trx90. But it depends on whether you would ride it for fun, or race it. A trx125 would be an absolute blast

atc200 would be a good home for a zippy lil 125.

I have a 86 trx250r that has a hole in the cases. Im thinking about putting my 82 cr125r engine in it. I just cant decided if I want to do the conversion or just repair the case on the 250r motor.
