Upper shock relocator bracket. Is it for 400ex a arms only??

I had sone questions about the 300ex build that I am doing right now for my nephew. I was wondering someone could answer a question about the a arms and the shock relocater brackets for the 300ex using 400ex length (16 1/4") shocks. I mounted the bracket and the shocks are still too long. I have 300ex lonestar std. travel a arms. Now I am wondering if the shock relocator bracket is only for puting 400ex a arms on a 300ex. If so then I guess I need to find some stock 400ex a arms.

I think I have heard you can use the relocator with 300ex a-arms, but I think it would have to long travel 300ex arms. If you have LSR 300ex arms than you can just ues the stock 300ex shocks. The 400ex shocks are better then 300 shocks but not by much. They are basicly the same shock just longer. You could probly find a used set of good after market 300ex shocks on ebay.

I have 16 1/4" custom axis shocks (Std travel 400ex,450R, 250R shocks). I thought that they fit on std travel +2" 300ex a arms with the relocator bracket, but it seems like they are way too long. They wont even fit with the std travel a arms. So I was wondering what everyone that is using this bracket is using for a arms and shocks. I think it is a KOQ Racing Bracket.

We run Houser slycast 400ex a-arms with long travel Fox Float Evols for a 450r. Plus I believe our shocks are longer then 16" they are over 19". We also have the JB Racing shock relocater and it works GREAT!

So did the 400ex a arms did bolt right on correct. No frame mods correct?

also remember that the shock relo is for the 400 arms only. it moves the shock mount back to match the 400 arms. it wouldnt be good to put the shock relo with 300 arms.

so those are long travel 400 arms and long travel 400/450 shocks

So by using the stock 400ex a arms and the shock relocator bracket, I can use the 16 1/4 custom axis shocks I have on the 300ex correct?

yes as long as they are same length as 400ex shocks
