yz450f woth it?

so i found a motor that needs a rebuild he wants 350 for it, it needs a piston and a bore job along with valves. top end is pulled from it.

i've been looking at parts and the valve kit looks like its about 350 a piston is 200 and if i cant bore this cyl then im looking at a cyl thats atleast another 300 so now im sitting with parts alone at between 550 and 850.

are the prices i'm finding right or am i off? would any of the 400 or 426 parts work on this also?

I think i would be putting this in my 250r chassis and the 250r motor in another chassis i have.. or i might get another 250r chassis.

I just think that by the time i get done rebuilding this thing i'll have way more money in it then if i just got one that was running.

the cheapest ive seen good running 450 motor's is around 1200 and that goes for yzf, crf, etc

I think thats a pritty good deal and would jump on it

he said 03-05 but i thoght one had a 4 speed and then a 5

correct me if im wrong but the 03-05's had the 4 speeds

some people love the 4 speeds and other hate them Ive flat tracked with one and the holeshot was hard to get used to but once you got used to it it was nice.

Yamaha and Kawasaki have tried the 4 speed in the bikes and went back to the 5

IMO, the four speed was one of the best things about my Walsh, when I had it.

Buy my engine, needs nothing. 04' yz450f engine, full hinson clutch, less than 10 hours on the metals, fibers, CP 12.5:1 piston, new cylinder, replaced the crank and valve train last winter, has hot cams, but I still have the stock cams to throw in. I'm looking at buying schavio's CRF chassis. thats the only reason I'm looking to sell this engine. $1400 with electrics.

Drop it in and go. I still have it in the hybrid, U cal hear it run.

I also have a Hinson BTL Slipper Clutch that I will sell seperate, $500 ready to go.
