It does run, seems to run really good, it sounds good just needs finished, i offered 1200 but he said he couldn't go that low, but i almost guarantee he would take 1500.

also the plan is to save the tranny and swap the motor with a 383 my buddys dad built for his truck but he sold the truck before he put the motor in so he is willing to give me a pretty decent deal.

Ya look like it im going back again tomorrow with a buddy of mine who is a good mech. hes gonna look at it and c whats up
I love the old chevys, there way easier to work on than the newer vehicles not to mention they look amazing.
Plus its like 5mins from my house i could really fire it up and take it to my house with no prob, it sounds good, no unusual clunks or ticking sat in the guys yard when i went to look at it for a good 15-20mins and just chugged away
O also has an aftermarket cam but i dont remember what it was
I go to tech for half of my school day and were aloud to work on our own vehicles so most of the work could get done there and thats no big deal
Not to shabby, just watch out for rust as those suckers are usually pretty much all bondo by now.
4 speed trans will suck on hwy too, you will want to swap in a 5 speed at some point.

Ya the whole front clip is new, but the rest is starting to show
Not so much the cab just the bed
I dont have a reason to do much highway driving, just back and fourth to school and to some riding spots but ya if i decide to put the 383 in ill put a 5spd in at the same time

well guys its home, today was the first time its seen the road in 2 years
This thing feels like your riding in a freaking tank, but i like it just needs some tuning and the obvious body work and it should be a nice truck.
The guy also had lots of extra parts for it including some i havent got yet.
at least 1 door
2 altornators
3 drive shafts (2 rear 1 front)
1 headlight
At least 2 brush guards
Along with numerous other things
We parked it in the yard beside my dads ranger and its a pretty good sight, ill take pics next to the ranger tomorrow when its light out.

Mine to, and i figured its a good starting point for what i want to do because its already got 7in of lift (4 suspension 3 body)
Already has 35s that are like prob 85-90% tread
and its already a 4spd which was what really set me off cause i really wanted a 4spd

thats really not all that bad. most of the 80s chevys i see are horrible as far as cab corners cab mounts and beds go. ive seen late 70s chevys that sat outside there entire life with less rust then the mid 80s. id have paid that for it.
