I have a chance to buy one for pretty cheap. ($70) Is it worth doing? I eventually am going to a 426. I already have the cylinder and head ready... just waiting to blow up the stock one first. Any advise would be great.

ya id pick it up but if if your looking for more overall power with the 426 i would go with a stage 2.

I just rode my ex for the first time since I put a stage 1 in it, the difference in low end is very noticeable.

Thanks for the info, I made the call and Im gonna pick it up for $50. I have a +6 timing key in it right now... should I get rid of it and put the stock back in?

I think either 1 or 2 works best, stage 3 imho only works for a 440 or something.

I find I like my more mid stage 2 b/c I ride alot of open trails and am in 2nd-4th alot. Plus in the sand (pretty much what we got here, they dont call it the NJ pine barrens for nothing lol) you move FAST.
