Does the 05 450r take oil in in two spots? Also do you have to have a stin kit to adjust the valves or whatevr?

yes, clutch side and crank side. you can run the same oil if you want. do a search of it. i haven't had mine long enough yet.

Yes there are 2 different oil on the 450r.
Each side holds a little less than 1 quart.
If you want to run the same oil in both sides, try the Rotella brand.
And yes it would be wise to get a shim kit if you are going to adjust your valves.

bel-ray thumper in the engine side and hp trans in the tranny. have ran them on both 450r's i have owned w. no problems.
But as d&b said, clean oil is key.
