I would like to do my engine cases in the color that stock CR and KX dirtbikes have there engine cases. It's kinda like a textured rust/bronze type color. I think it looks trick. It would be different yet "stock" looking. Any ideas? I really don't want a bright catch-your-eye kinda color on the engine cases. I was also thinking maybe a charcoal metallic too.

How well does powder coating stand up to movement, like on springs?

it works very well.........otherwise i wouldnt have done it:D
the powder is tolerant,,,,,,to a certian degree,,,,,to movement. you can even do a test panel of aluminum and bend it in half with out the powder coming off........i believe pappy uses pop cans to do a durability test on before powdering stuff;)

Hey thanks for all the quick responses. That charcoal looks cool. Pappy, I've been to Columbia coatings site, in fact thats where 4welrjeff and I bought our gun and powder.
Pappy, If you get something done in that rust color post it so we can see how it looks. I wonder if I could use some kinda base color under the rust to get the desired effect.
yellowex01, was that charcoal on your hubs and calipers as well? I remember those pretty well.
Everyone knows what color I'm talking about right?(CR & KX side cases that is)

After looking at Eastwoods site they have these listed:Bronze (10226), Gold (10163), I bet those might be close.
