can anyone show me what a push rod inside the center of the clutch basket is suppose to look like on the end where it touches the clutch arm inside case cover. this is for a 400ex i think something is missing reason why my clutch is disengaging

400ex doesnt have one. It uses a pin type thing behind the pressure plate and a grabber arm on the inside of the clutch cover pulls it and disengages the clutch. No rod whatsoever

This is the pin in the center of the clutch basket...

then theres a little arm in the center of the clutch cover that grabs onto this and pulls it when you will the clutch lever and thats what disengages the clutch

okay so mine doesn't have that round flat piece on the end but where the heck is it lol. what that off a 400ex the picture you just showed me?
Then that part busted and is probably inside the case somewhere or it fell out when you opened it up.
Just need that piece and all should be well.

i figured it out jus took looking at a picture of what it's SUPPOSE to look like lol thanks to all who helped i appreciate it very much!!!
