I'm in the market for a new carb for my sons A/C 70 with a street race stage 6 cylinder and a gen 2 Hetrick pipe. I have a 22mm pe on my other sons 70 with a 90 pipe that runs good and was easy to tune. So I was thinking of getting a pe 24mm. Just like some feed back on what you are running?

keihin 24mm will work well with that setup and you will be able to use your stock thumb throttle, you go any bigger and you will have to convert to a different throttle to get it to pull the slide open all the way. The 24 will be a happy means for bottom end and top end with jetting that should stay pretty consistent during minor weather changes. I personally have not ever been a big fan of the pe (round slide).

The 24 is a good choice,for the 70
I would have to ask what type of riding you do,before you buy though.

what is your elevation or what city are you in?????
what reeds??????
what ignition?????
for the buck the stage 6 race carb is a good setup, I have jetted 100s of bikes on racegas and methanol and had to fine tune by changing needles, needle jets and even sanding needles but this carb is pretty dead on out of the wrapper, don't often have to worry about a flat spot off of idle to contend with. it is a pwk (D-slide) based carb that uses all the same jets

is it a s-6 race cylinder (divider in the exh. port) or a sport (no divider)
Hetrick knows where that pipe likes to work as far as rpm range, chime in Rich!!!!

your elevation is 954
stick the s-6 race 24 on there just as is and see how she runs

That pipe is going to have over rev beyond 12,000rpm its main power curve is between 7,500 and10,500,the cylinder makes fairly close match power, you should see a nice gain with that s-6 d slide.out of the box jetting will be close as he said, make sure your roller/spring combo keeps you in your power curve
