i actually got the idea to make this thread while replying to 300ex&rzr's thread. these are the exact same instructions!

i put my light behind the bumper. heres what i did:

1. take the light off the bike
2. remove the two 10mm bolts holding the plastic on and remove it
3. get two pieces of like 6"-10"x.125"-.25"x1" steel. really, any flat bar will work, and length is whatever your preferance is, as that is how high your light will sit off the frame. length is also determined by which bumper you use so you can get the most light out there. remember, your plastics are on top so don't make it too long!
4. drill a hole at the top of each bar big enough for the 10mm bolts to go through.
5. attach the bars to the light and bolt them on
6. remove the top bolts that hold the bumper on
7. drill a hole at the bottom of each bar big enough for those to fit through
8. hold the light in place so that the bars will allign with the top bumper mount (you may need to add washers to keep them straight)
9. place those through and you have it mounted!
10. wire it up however you wish! i ran 3 wires, each with a male flat connector on one end and a female on the other. this will allow the males to slip right in the factory plug and the females to go over the prongs on the light.

mine works great! Any questions or comments are welcomed!

haha, ya it is! light location is just a matter of preferance, there is no true best way. honestly, trail tech would be my choice so you can look around you, not just straigh ahead
