need safety equipment recommendations

Ok, I have the Honda TRX 90. Now I need to get some protective equipment for my son. He is going to be riding it around the farm.

What do you recommend for safety?

Helmet is obvious, but is there a brand that is of top quality that will not break the bank. For example, I just don't want him to pick a helmet because of the color/design. We went and tried on a few today. I liked the HJC brand because you could take out the inside and throw in the wash.

I would be open to picking up some used armor and boots, since he is still growing. As always, any advice/input is greatly appreciated.

Good helmets have a sticker on the back. "snell" I think.
It's a sign that the helmet has met a certain safety rating.
Any helmet with the sticker is good.
I use a HJC.
Boots, gloves, chest protector and a tether switch (in case he gets excited and falls off). :)

I think if you need a helmet, you need a neck brace. something is better than nothing so if you cant get the EVS or Leatt right now look for a cheaper one and get a better one later.

I rode for years with no thought of it, had some crazy wrecks trail ridding and screwing around on the farm.
