what is this?

got one of these with my motor and Im not sure how it works and why its there. I see that its a carb vent system im not illiterate.

i think it works like a snorkle. so if your airbox floods, it will vent the carb directly.

I believe they use these a lot on freestyle quads and bikes. I think it helps with power when jumping.

I think they are supposed to maintain proper venting when fuel sloshes into your regular vent line. Tee it into your vent line and put one end in your airbox. I've never tried it though

had one, but dont remember it doing anything.basicaly it put the bowl vents up higher into the airbox.i think i used it thinking that i could gain fuel milage for desert racing , it was flawed thinking on my part
