The only thing from the CRF you can use on the 04/05 TRX is the cams..

Not on the 04/05..

The head gasket will work on the 06+.. You can use the CRF head on the 06+ too but there is no thermostat and you would have to run you fan off a switch because there is no thermal switch on the CRF head.

The only thing you can use is the cam. I have heard good things about the 02 CRF cam in the 04/05 TRX for mid range but haven't tried it. The 04-06 CRF cam is the same as the 06+ HRC cam... The 06+ head needs less valve lift than the 04/05 so most of the cams wouldn’t work for mid-top end gains. You could gain some bottom end if that's what you're looking for.

a crf head gasket on 06+ gives you a little more compression

the green wire mod will raise your rev limiter

running no air box lid will help

on 06's green wire mod seems to be the quickest and cheapest. One snip and you have 1000 more revs and different power curve

use an ignition system from a crf for better throttle response...stator, cdi, etc...

it just dosnt allow the capacitors to discharge at the set limit

but that doesn't necessarily mean you gain anything if your peak power is at 7500 rpms having the ability to rev to 9000 rpms wont add any power or top end, just more revs, if your power starts falling on its face at 8500 rpms adding 1000 more wont help

its best done on modified engines that have a higher peak power range, you wont even know the difference on a stock or slightly modified engine

2002 crf450 cam is the best one to use. I got one in my 05 . ton of bottom end all the way to the top

although its not the engine
i have been using there mufflers for years with excellent power for cheap over stock
i run a rossier head pipe into a crf muffler with some slight mod its not super loud and is stainless reliable
