itp trac stars good or bad

i was thinking of geting a pair of trac stars for my 330r has any one else used them and are they any good for the woods

I've had them on my 400ex for the past year and have not had a problem with them.They're great in the mud and you can still slide the rear end when you want. I have 5 weekends on them and they still have most of the tits on them.No problem with prickers either and all I ride is in the woods.

How are they in the sand? My razr II's are awesome in the woods, but they hate soft sand piles...

I don't know about sand.They were good in the sandy river bed but it had rocks and sticks in it too.They are 6 ply and seem to wear great.I would say they would be like your razr 2's in the sand.

so you saying there are good woods tires how about grip do the hook up as well as razr 2s or holeshots in dry dirt

i have a pair on the rear of my 450r right now and dont really care for them for woods riding. they grip ok but I ride alot of rocky areas, Ive gotten a cpl holes i had to plug and they dont have any side bit for ruts like the razrs.. As soon as i finish these tires off a set of razr 1 or 2 will be going back on. Only thing i like about them more than the razr is they are super light.
