View Full Version : rotor hittin the caliper??

i took my rear end apart to put new bearings in the carrier and when i put it back together and went to put the caliper back on it wouldnt fit between the rotor and the caliper mount. i loosened off the nut and got it to go on but when i tighten it up it still hits. it doesn't hit too bad i can still turn the axle but i dont know why its hitting now because it never did

Is the rotor bent to one side? Did you get the bearing's seated all the way Into the carrier?

no its not bent and ya there in all the way i dont understand why its hitting now ive put bearings in it before and have had no problem like this before

Since you took the rear apart, could have put it together wrong, see this post:

Maybe not the problem, but worth checking.

take a picture of your problem, i cant totally understand where its hitting
