Rear Brake Troubles

I am having trouble with the rear brake on my kids Typhoon. Its an 07 if that matters.

I can not get the piston to go back into the caliper far enough to put a new pair of pads on. The last set I had to grind off about 60% of the thickness to get them over the rotor. Then they wear out really fast.

I remove the parking brake block off when trying to press the piston back in with a C clamp.

Any ideas?

loosen the foot brake all the way, if you haven’t yet. disconnect it and try again.?

Russ, we'll need a complete rear setup (master cylinder and brake assembly). Not sure if I wanna replace with Typhoon parts or try to make another setup work. Let me know what you have and how much.
