whats a good project bike

after i get a car im gonna do a project.... like buy an older r and restore it, but i dont no if i want to do an r... i dont want to do a 426 or ne thing like that....

What if you just gradually modded your 400ex into a hybrid quad? Like do all the normal chasis mods and get a arens frame that works with the crf and maybe swap motors. But if you wanna restore a old quad and thats really not what you want to do I would try to get ahold of a lt500 or lt250 or tecate and restore one of those because they are so cheap.

well im not really restorin im gonna buy i tthen put it in my garagwe and as i get money mod it out into an mx machine......i think im either doing an r or banshee

From what I understand from your post, I would say, stay away from the 400EX motor.

Look at it this way, forget all the conventional ATV and dirtbike motors. Find a ATV rolling chasis and stuff a street bike motor in it.

Was it in Dirtwheels awhile back that a 600CBR motor was stuffed in a 400EX? I dont remember exactly what frame that was, but the bike had 400EX plastics on it. Anyone remember the specifics??

ya it was a 600ex hybird but i dont have that kind of money though

if your that tight on money i wouldnt do a project id just work the 400ex out

i think that was a 250R frame with 400ex plastics i might be mixing it up with a atvsport though. i would do a streetbike thing though cuz that would be awesome!

im not tight on money i jus dont have that much, im lookin for a stroke for mx, and and hill climbs around here

well u got one of the best , the only better is a 250r but once u get putting money in them it seems like it never ends
