look for some nice used a-arms, i personally would stray away from anything with heim joints (ASR Full Flight) if you plan on doing any kind of racing
I run houser silcast +2 Standard travel arms and really like them.
Depending on what kind of riding u do 450r front shocks should work nice.
For the axle i would go with g-force, u can pick them up new on ebay for around 180$$ plus they have a lifetime warranty.

It just depends on what kind of riding u are going to be doing, if its real tight woods and trails mayb some gncc racing i wouldnt go with +2 arms mayb +1.
But if your doing like nice open trails and tracks like i do i would go with +2 arms and a +4 axle

Nice 400 btw i love the silver maier racecut thats whats on mine, but if i were u id ditch the stock handle bar guard and stock seat cover.

I have had my ASR a-arms since 2004 and only had to replace the outer heim joints once about a year ago. I have no problems with them. For the rear you could get an extended axle or the g-force extended hubs. I wouldn't use the extended hubs for racing. I got the hubs on my zilla and my friend has them on his 400ex and they are great. It depends what you are doing

either the axle or the hubs work good. If you go that route let me know, i have some i may decide to let go soon. I would def go with the axle though since it will be less worry about bending and such. as for the front get some arms and shocks and you will be all set. i like the housers also, but there are lots of good companies around for general trail riding setups. steve

don't get the ASR or Full-Flight a-arms... regardless of what people say. You are better off buying new a-arms from a real brand that are quality and will last forever. Get the g-force axle, its only $200 shipped from rockymountainatvmc and if you google offer codes for rockymountainatvmc you can get some money off.

USED PARTS is the best way to save money. I got a +4 durablue axel and a lone star double roller bearing carrier a set of jd +2 a arms and a Elka rear shock and 450r front shocks all used for around $ 800.00
And it was the best money I have spent so far.

USED PARTS!!!! The only way to go.

i have also been looking at this topic for a bit, I am thinking that the rear hubs are decent for only trail riding but anything that has jumps is a no go with it. I will be looking for an axle and arms soon i think to go with some other stuff i have in the works on the 400 :D it is too hard to get alot of stuff for the rincon so the 400 is the place to be.
