Thinking about a DS

Like the title says. I'm thinking of selling both the EX's, the 400 and the 250, and thinking of getting a ds450. I don't race, so all the frame breaking problems shouldn't be an issue. Just looking for opinions.

I went and sat on all the 450's and chose by what one was most comfortable to me. YFZ for me.

I've sat on them all, and I thought the YFZ and KTM were the most uncomfortable. I'm really not a fan of the whole 450 market explosion, and how they are all so race oriented from the factory, but I can't deny the performance. I really don't want to get rid of the 400, since its the reason I started riding again, but it might be time to move up. I'm not looking to have a hotrod bike, thats what my hybrids for, but I need a little more than the 400 has to offer even if it is just my backup/mess around bike.

If the DS was the most comfortable I say go for it. Biggest reason I chose the YFZ was because I liked how low it sat. All the other bikes feel so high to me I didn't like them.

I wouldn't grab a DS quite yet. There not exactly that reliable. If i had money to buy another quad it would be another Honda 450R, a KTM, or YFZ450 (not the R or X)

Those are the quads with the least amount of premature problems and issues!

All three have tons of power, torque, and all make for a monster woods machine...

Sounds like you should put a little more into the 400 to up the performance.

I've been through it all on my 400. I'm on my second motor, since I the first one got so out of control it just finally took a dump. Just seems like the right time to move up I guess. Like I said, I have my hybrid when I want to go fast, but I don't want my other bike to be a turd in comparison.

Sounds to me like a 700r would be just what you're looking for.

suzuki,ktm 505sx :) , or a kawasaki,honda.and ya a raptor 700r seems up your ally also.id say ktm or raptor.get on raptorforum.com it gets pretty insane with those 700's

I've narrowed down my choices to a DS or a 450r. I feel most comfortable on them, and I'm going to stick with 450's. I already have 2 big bores that are purpose built to tame those guys on raptorforum (Calm down, Raptor owners).
I wish Honda could release the new 450r, cuz I would definitely go for it, but I know I could get one for cheap around here and they are proven machines. I absolutely love the DS and its technological advantages. All thats left is to ride each side by side and see which one feels better when actually riding.
