In most cases from what i understand,
valve wear is a direct result of improper air filtration.

There is no reason why a stock head can't last several seasons without a re-do.
Its not critical to upgrade your head with expensive components.

Its the dust that gets thru the filter that is causing the wear to the seats and valves.

Using a better oil is your best bet.

stock honda filter oil(no toil) is not tacky enough for the demands of xc racing.
Not many oils avaiible today are.

Use maxxima on a stock filter and cage for the best protection.

You will find that valve clearances will stay in spec much longer.

a dirty filter coated with maxxima oil offers more protection to your motor than a clean one.

dust will cause premature valve wear but the 06+ honda's with the Ti intake valves have problems no matter hot clean you keep the filter. the honda's dont have the right seat material for use with a Ti valve. put copper seats with the Ti valves and it will last a long time

I have motoxperts head on mine and it seems to have good power, but I will not send anything back to them EVER because of there POOR customer service (If your not a big named rider they seem to put your work off until they "get time to do it")

My bud had a Rossier on his and it was supposedly WICKED MEAN!!

But i think as long as you go with a reputable named place its all good! Just my .02 cents worth.

Or you can buy ya a dremmel and give it a shot?? lol :D

There are several good ones listed. I've had great luck with MXP. One that I'm surprised isn't listed is Baldwin.
