Want to do away with the airbox...

After 2 years I have finally decided to finish my 300. I am in the process of putting it back together but I am wanting to do away with the airbox. I have seen several people on here that just had a tube ran from the carb to the filter. Now I am trying to decide what will work because it has to go over the rear shock mount. Anyone have any ideas or have done this? Thanks

this is not my bike, I seen it on ebay a few years ago. It has a 350x motor and I belive the 350x carb sits higher, or maybe not. But any way this about what ur talking about. you could probly uses ur stock intake boot just loose the box. or piece tow intake boots together if one isn't long enough. Make sure you have a good outer ware on ur filter. and u will need to rejet.
