hey guys/gals will the skid plates for the a-arms,frame,rear axel from a 300ex fit a 01 400ex ?? thefuzz65@yahoo.com

Pretty sure they will not since all the 400ex parts are larger.

correct, they are longer and it would be worthless to run 300 parts on a 400. opposite would be alright but still quite useless since 300 arms are decent and you can get aftermarket ones pretty cheap. the skid and everything else would not work at all. the swingers are different enough to not make the holes line up to bolt the skid up alone with most of the other stuff. steve

OK I was wondering I bought a set of nerf bars from a guy on here he said they were off a 300ex and fit just fine ! now i found a coplete set of skids for a 300ex??

while seeing as though the swingers are not even the same length, the frames arent even the same style of tube, and the frames arent even close to the same length i would say that the skids are not going to fit. i highly doubt that the nerfs were for a 300ex. they would be quite small and the bolt pattern for the foot pegs are different. lets see a pic of it. steve

my WRONG ! they were for a 400 not 300 !! glad I passed on the a arm guards then !! if anyone has any a-arm or rear skid guard 4 sale I'm looking for some I have a frame guard already !
