ive owed my 300ex for 2 years now. im at a cross roads. ive lots of money in this machine.(see below) im 16 and earn 50euros a week at maximum. i could keep modding my 300ex or save a buy a 450. which would take forever!i dont race much. go to the track and practise. whats ur input?

Eventually, if you keep riding, your riding ability is going to outgrow the 300ex. I personally would start saving money for a 450, or atleast a full-sized quad.

i do think im 2 tall for the 300ex. or else the pegs are high. i think i have mastered the 300ex at this stage. pushed it to its limits, breaking shock mounts etc from tabletops. would it make sense to keep the 300ex and save for a 450? i wouldnt mind having 2. also i would probaly get about 1000 euros for my 300ex here in ireland

It definitely sounds like you've gotten your moneys worth out of it. 400ex's are dirt cheap here. Even that would be a big upgrade.

that's what i was going to say too. at this point early 450r's are in the ballpark price-wise, but the EX's are a dime a dozen around here as well. i rode one for 3 years and built it up pretty good and it kept me happy for a few summers. but with that being said, when i got on my stock LTR, it was a whole 'nother animal.

i'd upgrade either way! might as well get out of the 300 while its still worth something.

i thought about it. and yes i have got so much value for the the money i paid for the 300ex. id like to hold onto it. my dad bought me that for doing well in school on my exams. it has some sentimentle value to me. ill probaly save for a 400ex or a kfx450r. i do understand there will be a big step up. but like i said thats going to be atleast 6 months till i get some cash.

i use to have a 300ex and i moved up to a 400ex. i was considering a 450r but i like the 400ex for where i ride better. the 400ex is definately a good step up.
