Not sure if this has been covered or not, google was no help to me at all..

But I might get a 86' 250r in a trade and it has longer A-arms and a longer axle.. I was wondering I could swap those out for the ones on my 05' 400ex? I'm just tired of my stock suspension all together and the 250r would just be a loaner quad to friends.. They don't need all that fancy stuff on there  :D

Thanks!

Shane

Ok.. So if i read correctly.. They do fit.. But he was putting 400ex parts on a 250r.. I want to do the exact opposite.. Looks to be possible then.

Thanks!

once you ride the 250r with that stuff on it, trust me that 400ex will be a thing of the past, depending on the riding you do also, trails then i understand but anything other than that the 250r outshines it completely

I'm a trail guy.. Only straight aways i see are just the random fun drag races. Looking to do some GNCC racing next year as well. Love my 400ex way to much to retire it. With both, i'll have the best of both worlds :)

Either way, they're both Honda's!

well id have to admit before i got my 400ex i rode some others in the trails and it definitely outshined all the others. They are great trail bikes and i had the time of my life in the trails on mine before i put the a-arms and such on it. You definitely going to have a nice stable with both thats for sure. Ever owned a 250r before?

The 400ex arms fit a 250r with spacers but the 250r arms are to wide for the 400ex
