i just read this in the gnnc website. it says he will race both at the ironman next week. it says because of a grandfather rule he will be able to race both atvs and bikes that weekend. it is in the topic new champs crowned. it is on the front page.

dont know if this info had already been posted.

And not only that, Ballance is supposedly going to be back. It's going to be one for the history books for sure.

actually it says he can race both, not that he will.

Barry still hasn't made any offical anouncement that I know of...:D

As for Ballance, he raced the midsouth this last weekend.

Ive heard the rumors...and have it from a reliable source that he is planning on running it. Sure gonna hate to miss seeing it!

Anyone know what quad he might be racing? Man it would be crazy to see him out there on a Kellner prepped Laeger R!!!

i have been reading about this for a week and can't wait to see it. it will be cool to see smiley there on the roll 250r also. and i heard ballance was racing to. he did race a mid south last weekend so maybe it is true.

Think about this folks...

With Borich, Ballance, and Hawk on row 1 you will see the GNCC Pro ATV champion represented all the way back to 1993!

You will hardly ever see anything like this in any other sport.

seeing smiley on a 250r would be nice, but if he is planning on lining up with the pro's, he needs a production bike....

Smiley is racing Junior A like he did at Unadilla, or so the rumor is.

I think it is fantastic Hawk will be back on a quad!!

On a side note, in the interview Hawk was asked if he's checked out any of the ATV forums since word leaked out about him racing this weekend. He laughed and said he got on... Quad zone! Thought it's kind of a shame, 5 years ago there would've been 20 pages on here with news like this. ;)

Maybe he will not race the Bike race if he can afford a throw out? Or I dont see why he couldn't race the amateur class such as Pro-AM on the quad

He probably has many contractual agreements that wouldn't allow him to miss the bike race. It's not the fact that he's racing the Pro class in both races. It's because he would have an advantage from already riding part of the track.
