Needless to say, i got a little muddy today. Got the quad out, and when i went to take off, the throttle wouldnt go more than 30-40%. As in, it felt like there was a throttle block on it or something. I'm guessing something got bound up, or it just didn't like the mud. Any suggestions as to what to look for?

id check under that black cover on your carb mabe you got a small rock or something in there where the throttle cable connect to the carb..

id check your air filter and airbox first to see how much damm water you had in there.

i'd tip that thing up on it's tail and let taht water run out of the exhaust and the airbox.

you probably weren't able to give it full throttle because you took in water.

yeah i'll check out the airbox, but what i'm sayin is the thumb throttle doesn't have full travel.

That's wierd. Only thing I can think of is something jammed in there blocking the cable. Why would u wanna go through that much mud anyways?

Take apart thumb throttle assy & inspect/clean.
You will get to check slide clearance while you pull the small end of the cable

im betting your slide is jammed and wont go up from sand getting in the top of the carb. steve

Lol, looks almost like my friends and I today. Just a lot less water and more quick sand.

I'll be cleaning the sand for the next week, damn.
