WEll tonights the first night for Troy trying the flattrack .He is going to race Amatuer class.Last night Troy did a little switchroo on the shciks, lowered it by putting on my 300ex shsocks, then took one shock and lowered it a lil more slight than the other to give it a natural leanHe also strapped down the back end offsettires pressure to give a naural lean. Anyone else tried this technique before with the shocks? Here is a few pics of it lowered ..Man I love the look of it:blah Ill post some pics of his race tonight... Wish him luck;)

Have a great time. If he is using the strap to hold down the rear make sure to put two of them on it. One just slightly looser than the other. That way if something happens it wont throw him off in a corner if it so happens to do it in the middle of a corner. I saw someone do this firsthand so your better off with a safety. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Mo;)

thanks tina.... It was very easy to mount took all but about 15 minutes to do.. No the rear is still the 400ex shock... Ok here is the out come for BOTH my racers from tonight...First of all, the switch on the shock did very lilttle to help overall:(.. It felt like it wouldnt let the left rear tires pop up in the corners, its hard to explain, but I think it would have done better with the 40ex shocks on it.and just offset them for cornering..The tires were a joke, the track was EXTEMELY slick comapred to the last race,it was like ashault with baby powder on it. everyone was having a time of it., tonight out there. You couldnt hardly give it any power or you would even spin out on the straight stretch:( He got tagged bty the same person Three dif times so they finally black flagged him:grr (he caused a big issue with placing in the last race)but overall was told this was good riding for first time racer..First heat placed 3rd out of 4, and 5th out of 8 in the last ...No injuries, both times that he was hit caused him to place lower(thanks to the 250) and only bkoe off the tool box...Overall was a great experience and will DEF do again... Will need a set of turf tamers for the next race ..Also my Daughter Kelsey got to run the track!!:D She was the only mini out there, but they let her run alone,WOW did she do AWESOME!! Im so proud of her...;) she took it at about 30MPH,I tyhink if they would have let her run with all the mini dirt bikes she could have taken 75% of them on the corners:D she had Quite the crowd cheering her on,and is already sparking movement in getting more minis involved to race... TOngiht was a very good night, and a good experience Now this spring the BIGGER track wil be running, I cant wait to see it...heres a few pics, sorry alot of them didnt turn out

doesnt the track turn to the left? Troy had his 400 leaning the wrong way for a track that turns to the left...

My suspention gave no push for the right side,to steer him left.. He even ran 3 PSI on left and 5PSI on the right, then tried 2 1/2 on lft 3 on right... and tried to off set the shocks, then ran them as stiff as they would go,NOTHING helped... SO next race will DEf. go back to 400ex shocks..

You dont want the shocks amazingly stiff, and you want the bike to lean to the left. Drop all the tire pressures down, with obviously more in the right rear. put about 1 pound in the left rear, and drop hte preload on the left front shock a couple settings. It might actually help...lol
