sounds to me that 72hp is way too high, I would guess maybe 40 to 50 would be more in the ball park

theres a guy on here ace carlos who has either a 310 or 330 pro x on race gas and his was dyno'd at 68 horses so id say your lookin more realisticly at probbly 55-58 around there

Assuming your description is accurate, it's not making 72 hp at the rear wheels. It is almost certainly not even 62 hp at the rear wheels. In fact, based on the setup with 50/50 fuel and some of the other details, IMO 52 rwhp would be a stretch.

My 330R puts out 68-69HP at the rear wheels on 110 race fuel @ 230PSI after extensive work to the engine, pipe and carb. If you are putting out 72HP at the rear wheels, it is one heck of a 310R.

I have heard of 70HP 310’s heavily modified, however; I have not been able to have any builder achieve that kind of HP, you will certainly know it once you ride it if it approaches 72HP.

I new of one 310 that put down those kind of numbers, new piston every day at the dunes. It was on alky, out of frame pipe, and more dyno runs that I've probably done.

Ask him who built the motor. I'd say its impossible on 50/50 race and pump gas. The pro-circuit pipe is another item that would make it impossible.

ya but that bike flew for a 310 - 4.2's at planet sand in gilbert

but heard that motor was never the same after it blew up.

Just curious. What was the actual displacement on that 310?

On Methanol yes, I can attest to 310R’s putting out +70HP…

+72 HP would take a little work, yet quickly achievable, however; not on gasoline based fuels…

Depending on the Methanol combination, you would expect (as stated) to go through pistons, and possibly heads after every days runs…
