Hey guys, I am wondering what the best low end exhaust is for the 400? I am leaning toward a Q4 but am tossed up between that and some others. Whats your opinions on the topic? Thanks for all of the help! :)

Thanks for the info! Why not stick with the stock style jets? Is there a reason to switch to the dj stuff? Thanks again for all your help!

Personally i use the stock style jets, there is no real reason to buy a whole jet kit
Jets should be really cheap if u buy them individually at your local shop.

stock jetting wont work for aftermarket pipes.you might be able to get away with stock jets depending on the pipe.but you deff have to change your jetting for a complete.if you run stock jets you will be running to rich.quad wont run right.also i believe on 05+400ex's the fuel needle is adjustable.ive heard of people shimming it

depends on what exhaust u chose and if u run any other mods

I wasn't talking about running the stock jets but the stock style jets u can pick up from the local shop for way cheaper than a whole kit and u can buy them individually.

I bought the HMF comp. a while back. Love the sound of it and it's a little more tunable. You can swap out the tips to make it quieter or bigger for performance.

thanks for the info guys! Ill keep looking into them, the yosh is at the top, the q4 is, and the t4 is looking good for keeping to something relatively quiet.

also k&n or uni? I am leaning toward a k&n with an outerwear for it then running a filter lid. any suggestions on that too? thanks!:D

If hes running Keihin he should stay Keihin. Use sites like RMATV and Jets-R-Us.

Here (http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/NarutoNdGaara/Lid/100_1492.jpg) is my lid mod that cost me 5$ and a glue gun.

Yes, it's pantyhose, I used the *** section of them. If you want it thinner just use the leg section.

that looks pretty good ian. I will probably have to stick to something like an ehs or k&n though since i will be in water occasionally. From what i have heard, the ehs is quite water proof for being an open lid.
