what are your opinions on cylinders and pipes for a woods 70.

We have ran HS for 2 years with a stage 6 50 with 90 pipe.

Just picked up a second bike and want to put together a 70.

We won the 4-7 class this year at age 4.

So the ridding is on the aggressive side. Looking for something with as much torque as possible as our practice track has some fairly large hills and we are going to try and run either dwt 18 or some other true 18in tire for ground clearance with this set up.

thank you

We have built quite a few xc mini quads and motors for some time.
numerous options although when Braydon Shick was on the 70 we ran a Metri kit cyl. seemed to work well for torque.
The following year we ran a stock style cast cyl.he liked it as well so I guess it the rider as with mx.
Give us a call anytime we can help you out im sure.

We run a stage 6 sport-pro cylinder and PCS pipe. Low maintenance, great performance and reliability. Put it together over 12 months ago and ran 20 arena cross races, 3 nationals and 10-15 local races. I have never had any issues, same rings, piston and bearings....It hasnt been apart since. All we have done is change the gear oil, air filter and torque spring.

It has great power for a 70 and, with the PCS, has great low end torque. The PCS doesnt run a bunch of RPM's and the cvt has very little heat. No heat, good power and great reliability...cant go wrong.

The only down side for us is that on bigger, faster MX tracks it doesnt have quiet enough power to run with a good running 90. Fortunately we dont do much of those kind of tracks so it hasnt really been an issue.

new information the motor has a motoforce 85 mm rod.
I am thinking stage 6 race cylinder but not sure what pipe would work with this set up. looking for good torque.

we are setting up something similar seems that gearing plays a huge role in getting it to the ground and keeping the cvt together a well vented case with opening to adjust the clutch springs for track conditions!

wow you get the 50 where you want it now going to a 70 your back to ground zero.

don't know anything anymore. need clutch info, carb info, gearing.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

If you are looking for a low end pipe with torque, you can ask just about anyone, That is the PCS.

It will not pull a bunch of RPM's but the advantage to that is the reliability because of less heat. We change our torque springs because I worry we are leaving them in too long, I cant remember when one failed.

We run the PCS on our malossi 90 as well and see the same characteristics, good torque, lower RPM power, low cvt heat, longer life and reliability.

What more do you want in the woods?

Go with a 35T (rear) and stock slipper in the front.

yep 50's are a chore
as for the gearing we where running 18-32 with 18'' tires
keeps it on the pipe and you dont lose ground clearance @ the carrier
the slipper sprocket wasnt needed with the 50 and plans are to not use it with the 70
we use a momentum riding style and never land wide open so hopefully it will stay together ?
carb stay small if you want torque

Yep we run a 17 - 32 on our 50 with 18" hogs. Lots of big hills in our XC racing and tight woods.
