Hey guys, I spotted someone on craigslist selling a Baja doodlebug mini bike for $150. Says it needs the carb cleaned out. These go for $400 new in Canada, I was going to offer him $100.
I emailed him about it and he replied back:
"Hi, Ive personally only put 2 tanks in it, nearing the end of the last tank it would idle for 10 seconds then die, or die on throttle....looked like it was running rich but I just have no time for it. could be the carb, oil, or just the gas I was using. The pullcord sometimes doesnt go Ive only had it since spring, Im not the first owner..."
Think it's worth it for $100? Should it run fine with a good carb cleanout? I figure I'll get it running and then try to sell it for $250 or so.
