Plastics question

Just wondering if it would be possible to outfit the 05+ models with the 04 front plastics? I've always been a fan of the direct light output of the old school "bug eyes". I figure if you can upgrade to the new ones, the reverse would be true?

its been done just do a search on it. 2005 plastics in the 400ex section will get you pretty close. it is pretty much a bolt on and go thing once you get all of the parts. i think the front mounts are a bit different that should be about it. steve

i honestly just did this to mine a day ago, the hardest part is drilling and grinding the black, plastic thing that the switch is in, and some custom made brackets(really easy) if you want ill get all the dimensions and stuff. just keep the wire and everything from the 05 and transfer it to the 04 headlight. ill show you what i mean once i get my headlight. oh and my 04 front are modified maiers, idk if urs are stock or maier.

Lol don't even have a bike yet but I've worked on a handful of em, always liked the feel of the EX's...not to mention the low end balls that benifit trail riding so much back in Southeast Alaska. I was looking at getting a 450r, loved the 2 stroke like power delivery, but in tight woods it just doesn't have the nuts, requires lots of clutchwork & throttle manipulation. After enough rides with the 450 I was like "damn I want an EX":D
